The life of a hopeful Christian family. Already people are wondering what this means. What does it mean that we are a hopeful Christian family?
Let us just say that in the recent months we have had some tremendous spiritual breakthroughs and God is beginning to allow us to see beyond our feet as we step out in faith. The Bible says, "Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see" (Hebrews 11:1).
We hope for many things and we hope for certain things, but our greatest hope is found in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the foundation of our family, the rock our house is built upon, and we have committed our lives to His service, for His glory, through His magnificent death and resurrection.
That famous passage found in John 3:16 displays God's amazing love for us. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." We love because He first loved us, and we have placed our trust and our hope in His redeeming work on the cross.
It is our greatest desire to magnify His name above all other things in our family. Since our greatest purpose in life is to glorify God and love Him forever, it is our prayer that we, as a family in Christ, and as part of the family of Christ, will live in submission and obedience to the One who loved us first.
